Conquer The Canyon is the original and largest day hiking adventure program at Grand Canyon. It was specifically designed and is operated to help non-profit organizations raise funds in support of their missions and at the same time provide their fundraiser's with an rewarding experience at one of the greatest natural wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon.

Whether you're a seasoned hiker, someone who just enjoys a good walk or wheeling through the fresh air, there is a Conquer The Canyon hike for your interest, ability and level of fitness. The best part, while you're helping yourself you can help Conquer Homelessness, Conquer Poverty, Conquer Spinal Cord Injuries, Conquer Diabetes, Conquer Angleman Syndrome or Conquer Cancer.

Here's what you get!

Meet great people. Our hike leaders, training staff and Grand Canyon experts provide exceptional training on fitness, nutrition, hydration, gear and more, all designed especially for hiking at Grand Canyon. During your entire journey you will experience the special camaraderie of connecting and hiking with other dedicated individuals while supporting the mission of your choosing. Some teams are completely on-line and others host meet-ups and team training in local areas. Either way, you'll connect with like-minded teammates to train, prepare and hike Grand Canyon.

Guided hikes and a planned adventure itinerary. Grand Canyon is one of the most recognizable and important adventure destinations in the world. Conquer The Canyon provides a comprehensive adventure itinerary filled with just about everything you need to enjoy a fun, safe and memorable experience. Our expert Grand Canyon guides will see to it.

Fundraising support. From your own web page to the helpful staff and fundraising guidance of our .ORG Partners, your fundraising will be easy and successful.

A fabulous Mission Celebration weekend. Your 4 or 5 day custom Arizona adventure itinerary includes ground transportation, hotel accommodations, expert Grand Canyon guides, most meals, pre-and post-hike activities, and much more.

An unforgettable experience. You will work hard to prepare yourself for this incredible journey and while you experience Arizona, you will know you are making a difference in the lives of those who are deeply affected by the challenges life has presented to them.

Adventure Dates Available in the Spring and Fall of 2010.

*Participants will receive the following benefits:

• A multi-week online training program through the Walking Connection. (Some organizations host local meet-ups, training sessions and hikes).
• Your choice of various Grand Canyon trails with varying levels of difficulty.
• Hotel accommodations.
• Arizona Group Ground transportation.
• Welcome reception, pre-trek Inspiration Dinner and a Mission Celebration Dinner.
• Fundraising support and material.

SPECIAL OPTIONAL POST ADVENTURE EXTENSION - Grand Canyon North Rim Lodge and/or extended stay in Northern Arizona. Colorado River Float, Horseback Riding, Additional hiking and special sightseeing trips are available.
